A Place That Feels Like You Found Something Special
Rusty Nickel Brewing wasn’t built to be just another brewery.
It was created for the people who are tired of going to the same places, having the same experiences, and leaving feeling like it was… fine.
This is for the people looking for something that actually feels different.
More relaxed. More intentional. More connected.
A place where you can show up for a quick drink—and end up staying for hours.

Where It Started (And Why It Matters)
Back in 2013, founders Jason Havens and David Johnson weren’t just chasing a business idea—they were chasing a better experience.
Jason had already been building community through the WNY Beer Club, introducing people across Western New York to craft beer through tastings, education, and shared experiences. It was there that he met Dave, an award-winning homebrewer with a deep background in science.
Together, they combined engineering, creativity, and a shared appreciation for craftsmanship to build something that didn’t exist yet.
Not just a brewery—but a space people actually wanted to be in.
They transformed a former daycare and dance studio in West Seneca into what Rusty Nickel is today—layered with reclaimed materials, thoughtful details, and a kind of character you can’t fake.
Even the name reflects that mindset.
Buffalo may be known as part of the Rust Belt, but nickel doesn’t rust. It holds up. It endures. It shines.
That’s the kind of place they set out to create.
What We’re Really Here For
Yes, we make great beer.
But that’s not the whole story.
Rusty nickel exists to give people a place to gather—without the noise, the pressure, or the feeling that you have to rush through the experience.
A place where:
• You can actually hear the people you came with
• The setting feels just as good as what you’re drinking
• You don’t have to choose between quality and comfort
• Every visit feels easy, but never forgettable
Whether you’re meeting friends, bringing family, or hosting something important, this is a space designed to make it feel right.

Rooted in Local. Built With Intention.
As a New York State farm brewery, supporting local isn’t a tagline—it’s part of how we operate every day.
We source ingredients from New York producers whenever possible and proudly feature NYS wines, ciders, meads, and spirits alongside our own craft beer.
Because when everything comes from the same place, it creates a better experience for everyone.
More connection. More character. More meaning behind what you’re enjoying.

The Experience (Not Just the Menu)
You’ll find a wide range of house-made craft beverages—from crisp, easy-drinking lagers to bold IPAs, stouts, and seasonal releases.
But what keeps people coming back isn’t just what’s on tap.
It’s the feeling of the space.
The intimate taproom.
The patio that wraps around the building.
The garden atmosphere that makes you forget you’re minutes from everything else.
It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a casual night out as it does for something worth celebrating.

A Space Designed for Gathering
Over time, Rusty nickel has become a go-to spot for people who want more than just a night out.
From casual visits to private events, it’s a place where people come together to celebrate, connect, and create memories that actually last.
Whether it’s a small get-together or a larger event, the goal is always the same: Make it feel easy.
Make it feel personal.
Make it something people talk about afterward.
Come See What Everyone’s Talking About
If you’ve been looking for a place that feels different, you’ll feel it the moment you arrive.
Come for the beer.
Stay for the atmosphere.
Leave already planning your next visit.
Most places give you one piece of the experience, but not the whole thing.
A good drink, but nowhere you actually want to stay.
A nice space, but food that falls flat.
A venue that works… but doesn’t feel like anything special.
So you end up settling for what’s easy instead of what you actually want.
Something comfortable.
Something memorable.
Somewhere that feels right the moment you arrive.
